Connect and automate operations

Join existing systems, remove repeated manual work and make failures visible before they become customer problems.

Fixing the work between systems

Many operational problems live between otherwise useful products. Someone copies an order into another system, reconciles two totals in a spreadsheet, remembers to run an export, or notices that an integration stopped yesterday.

We connect the systems worth keeping and automate the repeatable work around them. Each flow has an agreed source of truth, a defined response to failure, and a way for people to see what happened.

Integration

We work with modern APIs, webhooks, queues, scheduled jobs and file exchange, as well as older systems that expose only a database or export. The technology matters less than the operating rules around it:

  • retries must be safe;
  • duplicate messages must not create duplicate transactions;
  • outages must be recoverable;
  • disagreements between systems must be detected;
  • unresolved cases must reach a person with enough context to act.

Transactional outboxes, idempotent handlers and scheduled reconciliation are common tools, but they are used because they solve a particular failure mode rather than because every integration needs the same architecture.

Automation

Automation is built around the process, not sold as a separate product. It can prepare work, move it between stages, produce documents, run settlements, reconcile providers and alert people when something needs judgement.

Routine cases can pass straight through. Exceptions remain visible and attributable; the system records what triggered an action and what it changed.

Where AI is useful

AI can help where the input is unstructured: reading a document or photograph, classifying a request, drafting text or answering from an approved body of guidance. It is not used to calculate money, enforce permissions or decide whether stock exists.

Model output is treated as a proposal. It is constrained to a known structure, checked before use and reviewed by a person where the consequence warrants it.

Evidence from delivery

The Bishops Emporium platform keeps the till, webstore and eBay on one stock authority, publishes the catalogue to Google Shopping, and connects payments, carriers, email and off-site backup. Staff can also create a draft product record from photographs; pricing, stock and money remain deterministic.
